Technician checking retaining clip and rear clearance of a headlamp housing

H1, H7, and H11 LED Bulbs: A Fitment Checklist

H1, H7, and H11 are familiar headlamp bulb codes, but the code alone does not tell you whether an LED replacement will fit your vehicle's housing or meet local road-use rules. Work from the vehicle owner's manual and the original bulb, then inspect the specific lamp position.

Start with the exact lamp position

Check whether you are replacing a low beam, high beam, or fog lamp. The Vypart H1 listing, Vypart H7 listing, and Vypart H11/H9/H8 listing provide separate pages to inspect. Their names are search aids; they do not by themselves confirm vehicle fitment or interchangeability among bulb codes.

Inspect hardware before installation

  • Base and retainer: Compare the original bulb's locking features and any clip or adapter required by your housing.
  • Electrical connector: Check the connector and wiring condition. Do not force a connection that does not match.
  • Rear clearance: Check space for the replacement assembly and whether the dust cover can close correctly.
  • Housing: Confirm the product is suitable for the intended lamp assembly, and inspect the finished beam pattern and aim.

Use the product page as a final cross-check

Read the title, description, photos, and specifications. If they conflict, contact the seller with your vehicle year, make, model, trim, and lamp position before buying. Review live availability and the store's current return terms on the site.

Taking a few minutes to verify the original bulb can prevent ordering the wrong part and makes any follow-up question much easier to answer.
